Seahawks Couldn’t Get Job Done In Week 4

Luck, or at least the replacement officials, were on the Seattle Seahawks side in week 3 as they got an extremely controversial victory over the Green Bay Packers.  Unluckily for the Hawks, the actual officials were back in week 4 and did not look to be in the mood for making bad calls.  Seattle ended up losing to division rivals the St. Louis Rams 13-19 and took their record to 2-2 on the season.  They will need to get things going on offense if they want to get a win against the Arizona Cardinals in week 5.

One thing the Seahawks did well in week 4 was get the ball to Marshawn Lynch.  He is an absolute beast of a running back and continues to show his worth with every passing week.  He ran for over 100 yards on the day and was able to get in the end zone for a touchdown.  He continues to show his worth as one of the best backs in the league with every passing game and it would be in Seattle’s best interest to get the ball to him as much as possible going forward.  He is on of the rare backs in the league that can get be justified in taking most of the carries for his team.

Unfortunately for the Seahawks, they have few other weapons on offense.  Quarterback Russell Wilson looked terrible in week 4, throwing three interceptions with no touchdown and not even 200 passing yards.  He has targets he can get the ball to in Sydney Rice and Golden Tate, but he just simply has not been able to convert passes recently.  He will need to get it together if the Seahawks want to get back on the winning track.

Things do not look good for Seattle going into week 5 when they have to face the undefeated Arizona Cardinals.  They are at a +3 points spread too, so they do not even look like they would be good as one of your NFL picks for the week.  Pick them cautiously.
